President Barack Obama


It is my 42nd birthday today and I am watching CNN alternately on mute and with sound as the festivities leading up to Barack Obama's inauguration are under way in Washington DC.

This is an amazing moment in history, certainly the most amazing historical moment in my life to date, and safe to say an extraordinary birthday present.

Because I do consider it a gift to be alive right now, and to be witnessing what promises to be a transforming moment in the history of this country.

Amen.
